If you're a fashion girlie, chances are you are ready for the Met Gala on May 6 in New York City at the famous Metropolitan Museum of Art. This year, celebrities including Zendaya and Rihanna will be adhering to the 2024 dress code theme: The Garden of Time. This coincides with the museum's exhibit, Sleeping Beauties: Reawakaneing Fashion, which will showcase pieces inspired by the natural world. So, if you're hosting a Met Gala Red Carpet watch party, your snacks and drinks should be inspired by the natural world, too. After all, who doesn't love a good fruit and veggie tray? Here are a few Met Gala snack ideas that celebrate gardens and everything that might be growing in yours.

This plate is sure to impress your friends, and it doesn't cost much to make at all. This protein-packed appetizer's smoky heat and creamy mayo strike the perfect balance. It is best served with lightly toasted crusty bread, IMHO.

Salsa is the best way to celebrate many of your garden veggies, including those cute little tomatoes. This bright party dip has pops of cilantro and lime that will surely mean there'll be no leftovers.

Lavender Butter

You can make your friends a gorgeous butter board with this unique lavender butter. It comes together with delicate floral notes and a handful of herbes de Provence. TBH, I would keep this around just to have on my daily morning bagel.

Curly Cucumber Salad

You can put your herb garden to good use with this curly cucumber salad. This zingy dish has bites of fresh dill and chives alongside fresh cucumber and red onion. It blows any lettuce-based salad out of the water.

You can make any veggies of your choice shine on some pizza dough with a layer of pesto. From tomatoes and red onion to kale and Brussels sprouts, these veggie-based pizzas are much better than anything you could order in.

Of course, you need to add something sweet to your Met Gala snacks lineup. This blueberry lemon sorbet screams spring and is the perfect way to end the night.

When it comes to drinks, few things are better than a lavender-infused beverage. (Hello, Starbucks lavender latte!) This lemonade recipe is great as is, or can be upgraded with a shot of vodka, rum tequila, or whatever else you prefer.
